The Oregon Queen — All the News for June and July 2025
August 21, 2025 Off By Lois ForesterMiss Rodeo Oregon 2025 Mary Olney!
The past two months have been an incredible whirlwind, filled with horses, highways, hospitality, and some of the most heartwarming moments of my year so far. As Miss Rodeo Oregon 2025, I’ve had the honor of representing this great state at rodeos across Oregon and beyond, connecting with fans, fellow queens, committees, and communities. From homegrown rodeos to historic national events, each stop was a reminder of why I love this job and how grateful I am to wear this crown.
We kicked things off with the St. Paul Trail Ride, where I got to saddle up and ride alongside the incredible St. Paul community and my friends from Har-Bar farms. It was the perfect way to start the summer season—on horseback, with great company, and surrounded by the beauty of Oregon.
Next up was the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show, a one-of-a-kind event where rodeo action meets live horse racing. The energy was electric, and the hospitality was second to none. I had so much fun spending time with their rodeo court and advisors. It was a fantastic reminder of how special these local traditions are.
From there, I headed to the Sisters Rodeo, a weekend that was as joyful as it was memorable. I had the pleasure of spending time with Fallyn and Katie, and together we soaked in every moment of this iconic rodeo. There’s something magical about Sisters, its rodeo, its people, and the pride that fills the air all weekend long.
Next came the Reno Rodeo, where we dove into the action with interviews in the Winner’s Circle, autographs with rodeo fans, and quality time spent with other state queens. It was fun running into J.J. Harrison and Wayne Brooks again especially since we had just seen them in Sisters the weekend before! We participated in Rodeo 101, connected with the Reno Rodeo royalty, and made new friendships that I’ll carry with me for the rest of the year.
Next up was the Crooked River Roundup. I joined in on their legendary cattle drive and spent valuable time with the queen, committee, and community throughout the rodeo week. I was also deeply honored to serve as the keynote speaker at their Foundation Dinner.
On Saturday I made a stop at the Pi-Ume-Sha Rodeo in Warm Springs, my hometown. Getting to attend and support this special event as Miss Rodeo Oregon was so special and it reminded me of where I come from and why I started this journey in the first place.
Then came Cowboy Christmas, and what better place to celebrate it than at the St. Paul Rodeo? I signed autographs at Kids Day, joined the legislator tour, ran sponsor flags, and even got to make presentation runs inside the iconic St. Paul Arena. The energy and tradition that radiates in the St. Paul community made it a highlight of my summer.
We kept the energy going at the Molalla Buckeroo Rodeo, where I spent time with the Molalla Buckaroo Jr. court and other visiting royalty. We visited with the crowd, signed autographs, and even held a giant yellow snake! It was a night full of excitement and fun.
I also visited the Eugene Pro Rodeo, where I spent time with their wonderful court, Miss Katie, and other visiting royalty to flag runs, do queen runs, and enjoy a wonderful day full of rodeo fun. Catching up with so many familiar faces made it feel like a reunion in the best way.
The Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant was next on the calendar, and what a joy it was to spend the week with Katie and Fallyn. Watching the contestants shine after months of preparation was so special! The Elgin Stampede was an incredible experience, and it was amazing to have the chance to spend the week at their rodeo.
Then came one of the most epic adventures yet: Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming. I met up with Fallyn, the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon court, and the other state queens for a week of unforgettable traditions. Our host home was amazing, and being surrounded by fellow Oregonians in such a legendary setting made it all the more special. We attended the pancake breakfast, rode in the parade, and even got to do a flyby in the iconic Cheyenne Arena.
From Cheyenne, I headed to Deadwood, South Dakota, where we toured the historic town by bus, visited a gold mine, and signed autographs in Outlaw Square. We ran sponsor flags and participated in presentation runs, all while being surrounded by some of the kindest people!
To wrap up this incredible run, I returned to Oregon for the Joseph Rodeo. I loved attending their parade and queen’s luncheon, spending time with their court, getting the chance to do a presentation run in their incredible arena, and spending time with all of the amazing Oregon rodeo royalty. It was a beautiful and peaceful way to end such a high-energy two months.
From hometown arenas to historic rodeo grounds, June and July were everything I dreamed they would be and more. I’m forever grateful for the people I’ve met, the memories I’ve made, and the communities I’ve had the honor of representing. Thank you, Oregon, for your continued support and coming on this incredible journey with me.
Forever grateful for the ride,
2025 Miss Rodeo Oregon

Hello rodeo fans!
The month of June was an absolute blast. I kicked the month off at the iconic Sisters Rodeo! It was my first time ever attending this rodeo and it sure did live up to my expectations. In fact, it blew me out of the water!!! I got to see a few of my rodeo idols who are multiple time world champions. It was an incredible experience warming up with them! I had the pleasure of attending their rodeo performance and their parade! What made the weekend even more special was that all three of us Oregon titleholders were finally together! Those girls mean the world to me. It was a great weekend!
Next I attended the “biggest little show on the coast” the Tillamook rodeo! We had fantastic weather and an even better rodeo performance. It was so refreshing to see a smaller community like Tillamook to come together and put together such a wonderful event. On Friday we were able to do a run in, carry sponsor flags, help with the stick horse race, and sign autographs! I was so happy to show off my beautiful headshot from Art of Aperture. I am so grateful for them and their insane talent! The next morning we rode in the second longest parade in Oregon!!! The annual dairy parade was so beautiful and unique to attend.
In between rodeos and other events, my horse and I have been enjoying trail rides, giving lessons, and volunteering at our local dog rescue, Many Miles to Home.
July was a PACKED month! By far one of the busiest one so far. I kicked Cowboy Christmas off in Molalla at the Rascal Rodeo! There were approximately 160 participants, making it one of the busiest events I have attended. I love this organization so much!
Next, I spent the 4th of July at none other than the St. Paul parade and rodeo! It was my first time at St. Paul and it BLEW me away. The amount of talent, community, and professionalism at this rodeo was unbeatable. The stock was amazing, the contestants were amazing, the court and committee were amazing! I can confidently say that St. Paul is one of my favorite rodeos so far. On the fifth and sixth of July I attended my hometown rodeo, the Eugene Pro Rodeo. I had the honor of carrying the Oregon flag, doing a run-in, pushing cows, participating in a queens race, and more sponsor flags!!! It was an amazing weekend.
After Cowboy Christmas it was officially pageant time!! I enjoyed forming new friendships, exploring a new part of Oregon, and learning very valuable things! My week consisted of horsemanship, rodeo run-ins, MCing, modeling, and laughter. I am so happy for Paytyn Hayda as she earned the title of Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon 2026. She is going to do a fantastic job next year.
I traveled back home and hit the ground running between rodeos. I started with the Santiam Canyon Stampede, then Coos County Rodeo and parade, the Larry Bell All Girls rodeo, and lastly the Benton County Fair & Rodeo! It’s been a jam-packed month but I would give anything to relive it again!
Full of thanks,
2025 Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon Katie Kilcullen

2025 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon Fallyn Plume!
This June and July were 2 months of good experiences and friendships. Starting off the first week of June was the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show where I did the parade and grand entry. I also was able to debut my chaps and placed first in my category in the parade!
I participated in the Treaty of 1855 parade, a local parade on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation commemorating our treaty signing. Right after that parade we quickly hopped on the road and went to the 85th annual Sisters Rodeo. I did a run in Friday and a parade on Saturday morning following a run in that afternoon and it was also my very first time on the Cowboy Channel! I also want to thank Stephanie Hedin, my advisor and her lovely daughter Annika Hedin for letting me borrow Rosie who was such a good horse.
I finished June strong at a local rodeo that has come back to life in the last few years, the Ukiah Rodeo. I did a grand entry on Friday and Saturday evenings and got to experience a small rodeo with a very kind community.
This July I started off with the Haines Rodeo on July 3rd and did a grand entry that evening. I also got to see Baylee Myers, who was one of the 2026 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon Contestants. Right after the rodeo I visited the Haines Steakhouse for a good steak. The next morning, I participated in the Pendleton Fourth Of July parade where I got to see a lot of my family and friends.
The following week I went to the 2026 Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant which was such a fun week, and my favorite part was meeting all the contestants and visiting royalty. I also want to give a big thank you to the Elgin Stampede for hosting us this year and congratulate Destiny Wecks, Paytyn Hayda, Kieran Sutherlin, and Lynlee Jo Perini for all your hard work you put into the pageant and earning the titles. I know you will represent well.
I went to the 127th annual Cheyenne Frontier Days which is also known as the Daddy of em’ all! I attended the queen’s luncheon, the grand parade and watched the rodeo one afternoon. Mary and I had a blast! It is also so hard to believe I went to the rodeo of my dreams and best of all as 2025 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon.
The last full weekend of July I attended the Chief Joseph Days Rodeo. I participated in the youth rodeo Friday morning and serpentine Friday night along with autographs. On Saturday I participated in the grand parade and right after the parade I went to the queen’s luncheon and visited with some royalty. That evening, I did the serpentine and run in along with autographs. Overall, the Chief Joseph Day was such a great time and I definitely Felt The Thunder!
June and July were such a whirlwind, and I can’t believe the summer is winding down! I’m ready to finish the summer strong and can’t wait to update more on my adventures.
