Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant

Requirements for the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant:

The purpose of Miss Rodeo Oregon Inc. Foundation is to provide a program for Oregon horsewomen that encourages positive growth in strength of character and personality, healthy attitudes, self-fulfillment and self-respect.

The Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant is held in conjunction with the Clackamas County Fair and Canby Rodeo in Canby, Oregon.

Contestants for the Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon and Teen Miss Rodeo Oregon titles will be selected as the most qualified Oregon horsewomen to promote the sport of rodeo in Oregon and to represent the State of Oregon.

Miss Rodeo Oregon is chosen to represent the sport of professional rodeo and to compete in December each year at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Miss Rodeo Oregon Sweetheart:

The Sweetheart Pageant is held on one day during the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant.  Girls eligible for the Sweetheart category should be 4 to 8 years old by the beginning of the Sweetheart Pageant.

This is a fun opportunity for girls who love rodeo and the western way of life! There is no judging, and all girls receive a banner and crown. Girls are Miss Rodeo Oregon Sweethearts for the day, but they often show up at other community events dressed in crown and banner for fun!

Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon:

Contestants for the title of Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon must reach the age of 9 by June 30 of the year they compete and not be older than 14 as of the next year on December 31.

Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon:

Contestants for the title of Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon must reach the age of 14 by June 30 of the year they compete and not be older than 19 as of December 31 of the next year.

Miss Rodeo Oregon:

Contestants who compete in the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant must affirm they will be 21 years of age by November 1 of their competition year and will be no older than 26 years of age by December 31 of the following year.

All contestants will be asked to provide a copy of a government issued identification (such as a birth certificate, driver’s license, passport, etc.) verifying her age.
