2024 Miss Rodeo Oregon Abby Torgerson!

The month of October brought the 2024 Columbia River Circuit Finals! I had an absolute blast running sponsor flags, signing autographs, and helping push cows alongside my fellow state queens, Miss Rodeo Washington and Miss Rodeo Idaho! During the rodeo, the 2025 Columbia River Circuit pageant was taking place. I was able to run through elements of the pageant to help prepare me for Miss Rodeo America!

I also had my send off party in October at Pam Rutherford’s beautiful ranch. I truly cannot thank Pam enough for her kindness and hospitality. My party was incredible! I was able to showcase three of the outfits I will be wearing during the Miss Rodeo America pageant! I truly cannot believe I will be stepping on that stage in less than a month!

2024 Miss Rodeo Oregon

2024 Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon Hallie Haslebacher!

As we near the end of my year as your 2024 Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon, I am enjoying every last moment under this very special crown. October was a bittersweet month. I had a lot of fun, but it brought me to my last rodeo of the year, when I attended the 2024 Columbia River Circuit Finals and Miss Rodeo Oregon Abby Torgerson's Sendoff party!

My last rodeo as your 2024 Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon took me to the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond, Oregon, where I was able to attend two nights of action packed rodeo where the best of the best In the Columbia River Circuit battled for a chance to compete at the NFR open! Each night before the rodeo I was happy to sign autograph sheets while talking and laughing with my beautiful sash sisters.

While I was in Redmond, I was blessed to volunteer at my very last Rascal Rodeo of the year!  Working with Rascal Rodeo is always a highlight for me; I enjoy helping in any capacity they need, meeting new people, and seeing familiar faces. One of the participants I’ve had the pleasure of seeing at every Rascal Rodeo this year, absolutely blessed my heart by bringing me a copy of a group picture she had taken with me and other queens at a previous rodeo.

My weekend ended at Abby’s sendoff party. Wow, what a great party. Having Abby as my Miss this year has been such an adventure. When we started the year, I could never have imagined how much I would come to look up to her, and value our year together. Abby has been an outstanding mentor and friend. I can genuinely tell you she is one of the best people I know! I am incredibly grateful for her; she made my year so fun and special. I can't wait to see her rock the judges' socks off at America!

2024 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon Kayla Hunt!

October was a slower month for me, but I did attend the Columbia River Circut Finals in Redmond where I got to volunteer at the last Rascal Rodeo of my time!  I attended the modeling and speech part of the Columbia River Circuit Finals Pageant.

My next event was Abby's sendoff party at the very gorgeous property in Sisters. Pam Rutherford, thank you for being such a wonderful hostess.

New Board Member!

Congratulations to 2019 Miss Rodeo Oregon Taylor Ann Walgamott on her appointment to the Executive Board as Vice President.  Taylor is an attorney and has been active in the organization as the Scholarship Committee chairperson and the creator of the Make Your Mark Past Titleholder Award.  Her primary responsibility will be the planning of the 2026 Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant.  Welcome, Taylor!!

Elected to the Board effective January 2025

Miss Rodeo Oregon 2007 Jennifer Tickner was elected Secretary at the last General Membership meeting.  Jen works part time for Legacy Silverton Medical Center as a Business Analyst in the surgery department. She is currently Co-chair for the Queen and Court Committee of the St. Paul Rodeo and has been an active member of the Education and Programs Committee of MROIF.  We are thrilled to welcome Jen to the board!
