2025 Miss Rodeo Oregon ~ Mary Olney

 

Mary Makenna Olney grew up on the Warm Springs Reservation. This is where she developed a deep love for animals, rodeo, and the western way of life. Growing up, she was always engaged in learning about her rich native culture.

Mary graduated from Madras High School in 2019 with Honors. She participated in Soccer, Cheer, Softball, National Honor Society, and Student Council during that time. She was active in the Lyle Gap 4-H Club and President of the Madras FFA chapter.

In the Fall of 2019, Mary set off to achieve a welding certification at Tulsa Welding School in Oklahoma. She took on a career in fabrication that would provide for her and her horses while she worked towards her long-term career goals. Recently, Mary has taken a new career path as a certified nursing assistant. This new career path is giving her great patient care experience as she is currently working towards her biggest career goal of becoming a pediatric nurse at Summer College. In her spare time, Mary loves helping her community and spending time with her horses. She enjoys going on trial rides, learning new skills, and attending gaming competitions whenever she has the opportunity.

Mary will travel many thousands of miles during 2025, representing Oregon rodeo and Miss Rodeo Oregon Inc. Foundation. She is an ambassador for Oregon’s western heritage and lifestyle. She will also represent Oregon at the Miss Rodeo America contest in Las Vegas in December 2025.

2025 Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon ~ Katie Kilcullen

 

Katie Kilcullen is the seventeen year old daughter of the late Chris Kilcullen and Kristie Kilcullen with the addition of a wonderful bonus dad, WC Grover of Elmira, Oregon. She is currently in her junior year at Elmira High School. Katie was a proud participant in her local 4-H Club for two years and is currently in her second year of the Oregon High School Equestrian Teams. She was also the youngest member of her local eight-man drill team, Mane Attraction.

Katie competes in a wide variety of equestrian events like team sorting, working rancher, pole bending, drill, and trail equitation. When not on horseback you can find her on the volleyball court playing on her varsity team, volunteering at her local dog rescue, fishing with her grandpa, welding, or on adventures with her dogs.

Katie is grateful for the life skills her equestrian involvements have taught her, which include the value of hard work, the western way of life, sportsmanship, and the impact agriculture has on our community. One of her main goals is to showcase the western way of life and be the bridge between the community and rodeo.

2025 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon ~ Fallyn Plume

 

Fallyn Plume is 12 years old and attends Sunridge Middle School in Pendleton, Oregon. She was born and raised in Oregon and lives outside Pendleton, Oregon in a small community called, Cayuse, on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR). Fallyn’s roots here are strong, she is a descendent of the CTUIR where her ancestors have lived and thrived since time immemorial. She is a proud member of the Blood Tribe/Káínai, of the Blackfoot Confederacy in Southern Alberta, Canada.

Fallyn’s family has been cattle ranching for over 30 years on their homelands of the Blood Reserve. Her favorite time of year is branding cattle with her family. Fallyn has always loved horses, rodeo and the western lifestyle, while also practicing her Tribes’ traditions and culture. Fallyn gathers traditional first foods with her family and participates in ceremony to feast these foods. She enjoys barrel racing and pole bending on her palomino quarter horse, Dixie, participating in the Pendleton Round-Up and Milton Freewater Pioneer Posse.

Fallyn’s favorite sport is basketball and she is exceptionally proud of her team for placing 3rd in the 2024 Oregon State Basketball Championship. She also enjoys playing travel softball for Oregon East and pow-wow dancing.
